Planning and operation of resilient distribution systems

Distribution Network Operators are investing in technology to ensure that the design and operation of the Electricity Distribution Network results in a resilient and sustainable performance and meets the challenging targets set by the Regulator (URE).

As demand grows and the network works harder the planning and operations teams are developing greater sophistication in their ability to design, operate and manage the assets on the network.

Investment in Smart Metering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Distribution Management Systems provides greater and more valuable feedback on the patterns of electricity use and engineers are learning how to ensure that network capacity meets the current and future needs of the customers using “Big Data”.

Join with your peers to share their experience and explore how modern network analysis, data from smart metering, distribution management systems and asset management technology will help you meet these challenges.
