The refining and petrochemical industries have been low-margin and under continuous pressure from a high crude oil price. The current status of the oil and gas market presents an opportunity for downstream businesses to optimize their system performance.
However, this opportunity raises certain questions:

You will be introduced to the modelling concepts of plant-wide optimization which is based on our advanced RAM (reliability, availability, maintainability) analysis tool. Advanced RAM analysis enables analysts to account for several parameters when assessing the performance of an asset, such as its reliability, maintainability and operational strategy. Understanding how these variables impact on the overall system performance allows companies to plan ahead and support their decision-making process.
Participants will be encouraged to bring their own laptop with DNV GL's RAM software Taro, for refinery design and petrochemical plant process, installed and a workshop license will be provided prior to the seminar if you wish to participate in the hands-on workshop.
